Question |
|
I bought 2 plumeria plants at a local nursery here in San Fernando Valley, CA. The nursery is not sure what color the flowers are since they are from the cuttings. They are about 110 to 11 inches long stalks with leaves. Can I plant them on the ground or when is the best time. I'm new to plumeria but I always enjoy it from other peoples yard. I would like to learn more about replanting them when can I expect to see flowers? Thanks, Maria |

When you get cuttings from plumerias they will be exact clones from the mother tree. In other words, the flower will be just the same. However, when you root them, it could be a few years for it to bloom, since your cuttings were not very large. Go to our home page and refer to our care guides on how to start a plumeria from a cutting. You do not plant them in the ground to start, root them in a small pot first. Then you may transplant it into the ground, once you have a well rooted plant. Good luck! |
